holding pattern

Kind of out of the blue, my Withings Body+ screen is on but theres nothing there. After some reseting, also cannot connect by phone. Removed it from the Withings app on my phone, trying to reconnect the scale as a new scale, but searching for the device, I see the Body+ c0 pop up, I select it, but then I am right back to the search for device screen.

It is an infinite loop.

At one point I thought it was working, trying someone elses phone, but ultimately, still failed.

Ah the troubleshooting instructions helped!

The support page had the important insight , to Forget the Body+ in the bluetooth settings ! And then repeating the steps, everything worked,

except that at the end 😅 after everything, the scale said the battery was dead haha. Even though I did try before, replacing the batteries , looks like the important combination was, both replacing the batteries and forgetting the bluetooth device .

Still though, the Withings app could use some work

It would have been nice not to experience the odd infinite loop of selecting the detected device and being asked to detect a device again, over and over again. Instead, it would have been nice to just get a message explaining that perhaps I should forget the device from my bluetooth or replace my devices batteries since my app did ultimately show me the scale’s battery level was 0% haha.
