Whaaatt??? 🤯 I discovered today, thanks to a conversation with ChatGPT , Apple MacOS’s Continuity Camera , for batch scanning of documents.
Had wasted so much time trying to use the Dropbox app for scanning, because I had always been trying to rename and scan at the same time. And finding the right folder and typing in the iphone keyboard, all those things are painfully slow. Dropbox has still not added the simplest of conveniences into their UI of , being able to search for some folder or file, go to it, and then from there be able to go to the parent folder.
Anyway, I was thinking that yes I could just instead batch-scan with Dropbox or Apple Files as well, just anonymously scanning everything into one folder, but in describing this problem to ChatGPT I learned about Continuity Camera, which was originally intended for letting you use your iphone camera as your laptop zoom camera say, but that it had been adapted also to scan documents.
So to use it you can, on your laptop, “right click in a folder” > “import from iphone” > “scan documents”. And this experience is just way faster because it is way fewer phone taps. And zero phone keyboard interactions. Those are the slow steps.
